Teletherapy
What is teletherapy?
Teletherapy, also called video therapy or telemedicine, is a form of treatment that allows you to participate in psychotherapy online. All you need is a high-speed internet connection and a private, quiet place to connect with me.
Most issues that you would come into the office for can also be addressed in teletherapy. However, I will first conduct a brief, free phone consultation to make sure that your concerns can be adequately addressed using this model.
If I determine in my professional judgement that teletherapy is not clinically appropriate, I will be happy to provide other options, including referrals.
How it works:
I use a secure, HIPAA compliant platform for video therapy. I will send you a link to my digital “waiting room” at our scheduled appointment time. Once you are checked-in, we will begin our session.
You can participate in therapy from the comfort of your home or at the office during a break. I ask that you have a quiet and private place to talk. Most elements of traditional psychotherapy are present in an online model, so we can see and hear each other in real time.
